This workshop focuses on the creative and innovative part of leaders, and supplies tools to inspire and help it flourish. Participants look at practical ways to tap creativity and innovation, and apply them to gain measurable business benefits. The workshop also focuses on problem solving, introducing a step-by-step process for maximum efficiency in identifying and finding creative solutions to workplace problems and allowing leaders to adapt.
Practical, skills-based sessions will help managers break away from looking at problems in conventional ways, and start to look at different approaches which can lead to that priceless flash of inspiration. The course looks at innovators and successful problem-solvers and asks: how do they do it? This is developed into a set of tools and techniques for starting to adopt creativity as a way of working, with instantly usable results. Participants will build up a set of creativity tools to help them think laterally and break new ground.
The workshop is based on widely acclaimed principles of creativity and leadership, such as those developed by Edward de Bono, Arthur Koestler and J.P. Guilford. Participants will be encouraged to use real-life problems and contexts to apply the tools covered during the workshop, in order to take away new insights into real issues, as well as the techniques to create more ideas in the future.
This topic can also be delivered as a coaching session, as part of an integrated programme, or via an alternative learning method such as e-learning. It can also be adapted to suit your specific needs, including adjusting it to a half-day workshop with a narrower focus, or a two-day in-depth workshop.
