Working with Diversity
Get the most from today's diverse workplaceThe work environment is becoming more and more diverse with every year, and more closely regulated. This presents a unique set of challenges to businesses. Those who don’t rise to meet the challenge, not just at the top but at every level, risk missing out on the opportunities diversity can provide. They also risk falling foul of legislation, resulting in fines, damages, and other legal consequences.
This short (half-day) workshop is aimed at people at every level in the organisation, and provides a clear understanding of the importance of every individual’s behaviour in the workplace. It clearly outlines the benefits of a modern outlook towards diversity issues, and makes sure participants understand what they need to do and avoid doing on a day-to-day basis to comply with relevant legislation. In-depth discussions allow participants to pick up valuable tips and to ask questions relevant to their role and outlook.
The workshop is based on the Equality Act 2010 and the recommendations surrounding it. The approach is non-confrontational, and participants are encouraged to raise issues they may have with legislation or their work environment. There is scope for existing organisational policies and initiatives to be referred to, so that the course can be integrated into existing frameworks.
This topic can also be delivered as a coaching session, as part of an integrated programme, or via an alternative learning method such as e-learning. It can also be adapted to suit your specific needs, including adjusting it to a half-day workshop with a narrower focus, or a two-day in-depth workshop.
